Grace Thorpe Is In Salt Lake
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 27 (AP)
Pvt. Grace F. Thorpe of The WACs, a daughter of sports-famous Jim Thorpe, is awaiting orders at Fort Douglas in the Ninth service command.
Like her father who is ranked as one of the greatest all-around American athletes, Private Thorpe has a variety of sports interests. Among her particular likes is volley ball, tennis, swimming, and basketball.
She arrived here from Fort Oglethorpe where she received preliminary WAC training.
