DaNang

Later on in his tour Todd was transfered to DaNang, South Vietnam. In DaNang it was a very different atmosphere than Combat Base Baldy. The Marines had a lot more options to spend their time. The Marines in Todd's unit would often go into town and look at the shops and buy things to send to their families. Todd got a picture painted of his parents by a local artist. The men also tried to find their own fun. One way Todd said they did this by having boxing matches and those were popular with his company. This short video will show the DaNang Air Base.

DaNang was also the last place Todd was in Vietnam. He spent about three months in DaNang before he was part of the withdrawl in June 1971.
