Ronald was there when the Infantry would go through towns and kill anyone, because they had no idea who was in the Viet Cong. Those that were killed would have their bodies stacked at the outside of town to let them know that they had been there. There were women, men and children that were all being killed during these raids. This was not an easy sight for him to see and even later on caused him to struggle with PTSD because of it.
